There are many great things about using internet chatroom that can be found on social media apps like:

The advantages to using these apps and the chats on these apps means that people can:

• Build friendships

• Stay in contact with friends and relatives who live far away

• Be reunited with people from the past

• Meet new people through other friends or people who have a similar interests

• Get involved in a campaign for or against a particular issue

• Learn about other people’s cultures

• Access 24/7 to communicate with other like-minded people

• Help with H/W if the young person does not understand or if the young person missed school and needs to know what the homework is

• Improve IT skills by learning how to post photos, edit videos and tell a story through blogs
