Types of Discrimination

Discrimination is when a person is being treated differently just because of the group of people they belong to. There are many types of discrimination including:

Religious Discrimination (Sectarianism) - to treat someone unfairly because of their religious beliefs.

Age Discrimination (Ageism) - to treat someone unfairly because of the age they are.

Race Discrimination (Racism) - to treat someone unfairly because of the colour of their skin.

Sexual Discrimination (Sexism) - to treat someone unfairly because of their gender.

Sexual Orientation Discrimination - to treat someone unfairly because of their sexual orientation or preference.

Disability Discrimination - to treat someone unfairly because they have a disability.
