When a person is faced with taking a possible risk, it is important for them to weigh the negative aspects of the risk with all the possible benefits of taking the risk before making a responsible decision.
Before a person takes a risk, they should consider the following:
1. Assess the risk
2. Identify the hazards involved
3. Identify the benefits (good things that could happen)
4. Consider what parents/guardians may think
5. Consider if there will be any impact on anyone's health
6. Make an informed decision
